What I do, is to edit the ldap 'userPassword' attribute like that :
{SSHA}aAKCKsf+qzWqQUBhvpCZIHgXX23A/Tnz
into :
disabled{SSHA}aAKCKsf+qzWqQUBhvpCZIHgXX23A/Tnz
That way cannot login anymore but I keep the original password safe.
