Kolab Server 2.2 RC 3 [was RC 1] Preferences in Horde

Sorry to resurrect this topic, but now that Horde is working for me, I tried 
to set preferences on my account.  As long as I stayed logged into Horde, all 
the preferences were applied as expected.  However, if I logged out and then 
logged back in, the preferences are reset.

I need to know how to troubleshoot this problem.  How to I see what is LDAP?  
What logs should I be looking for?

On a side note, there are some preference values that I want set (or unset) by 
default for my location.  Where do I find the default user preferences in the 
code?
