OpenChange MAPI Server and Kolab

Hello,

Has anyone been paying any attention to the OpenChange project? They
are attempting to create a replacement Exchange server that speaks
native Exchange MAPI.

They are basing their work on Samba 4 and are hoping for a server that
can be plugged into various backends. They also seem to have a MAPI
proxy server that is supposed to be able to modify MAPI traffic on the fly.

If you were able to mate their work with a Kolab server backend it seems
like you could have an "Exchange" server that talks directly to Outlook
without any plugins?

Just a thought.

Tom
