R: error compiling on centos 5.2

I already tested the file integrity an I disabled selinux but I own the same
compilation error 

The system is a VMWARE 1.06 virtual machine with virtual tools installed.

Did you check integrity of the downloaded files?
i kept similar error when a file was corrupted... check with md5sum -c
MD5SUMS
