Delete large amount of spam

Is there an easy way to delete a very large amount of spam 
in /var/spool/amavis/
Rm doesn't work, message is too many arguments.
I started to delete them in as large chunks as possible, but gave up after 
about 6 hours.
Konqueror isn't able to display all files
