Shared Folder as INBOX?

Wouldn't a group account fit this bill best? Make a group account for such an 
address, let all "common" mail be delivered to its INBOX, set the INBOX 
permissions up so that all users who need access have access and let the 
users in question then subscribe to that INBOX.
