horde & mysql permission issues

I hate to state the obvious, but I just wanted to mention that yes my ldap
server is running and is functional. I currently have horde configured to
communicate with ldap at ldap://localhost:389.
A thought occurred to me. Could it possibly have to do with security
certificates? I know that when I first connected to the server via kmail, I
had to accept my security certificate. But horde never asked for it. Nor
have I seen in the config where to set it's location.
