Mail recovery

Hello please I am a network & system administrator and I have a mail 
problem, I found your email address in a Kolab mail list stuff.The 
juniour system administrator in my organisation mistakenly reconfigured 
my MD's mail client and forgot to check the box to keep a copy of 
the mails on the server now the system crashed and another systems was 
given to my MD however when I finished configuring the mail 
client(outlook express) I clicked on send and receive but the client 
could'nt pull any mail off the server, I went over to the server and 
checked my MD's account but found it empty! Please how could I ever get 
the mails back.
