Check the postfix log.  It will give you some answers.

I absolutely recommend the upgrade.  I just had some issues with attachment 
corruptions that were fixed by the upgrade.

After the upgrade, any changes that were made to configuration templates will 
be in a *.rpmsave file.  You will have to make the changes again.  That's 
pretty standard though.
