Proko2 client performance? (was: proko2 client very sluggish?)

As there were no responses, let me rephrase...

Just some reports about experiences with the proko2 client would already
be helpful at this moment - I'd really like to know whether the
sluggishness we see is normal or not... I've included the original
description below.
