php-4.3.9 fails to compile

Here it is:

dieter at marin:/usr/lib> ldd libbind.so
        libc.so.6 => /lib/i686/libc.so.6 (0x40063000)
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x80000000)
