problem with amavisd and postfix

You are not supposed to change the main.cf manually. Actually the feature in 
question is controlled via the web admin GUI / LDAP repository.

Are you using jail on FreeBSD? We sofar got multiple reports that this does 
not work as expected. 

Please note that we currently recommend native installs on FreeBSD not jails.

BTW: Is there an easy way to detect that a program is running in a jail?
