Cannot post to shared folder

Hello everyone
I am having problems sending to a shared folder. I have maded a shared 
folder called events, now i thought that to post to this folder I could 
just send a mail to events at mydomain.com - this does not work, I get the 
mail bounced. I have also tried with user.events user+events and 
user^events (@mydomain.com) as well and this also does not work.
If I do `lm` in cyradm, the box shows up as user.events at mydomain.com 
(normal users are user/username/Inbox/bla).
Permissions on the folder are anyone - all (I also tried to add my user, 
this did not help)
Am I missing something? Is the only way to get mail into shared folders 
by dragging in inside a mail client?
Please can someone tell me how to send email directly to shared folders!
