It might still be a bug with KDE 3.4 or the very version you have.
Proko2 branch works for this feature.

Not having an entry for "to-do lists" in the KDE resource configuration
is okay as it works here without.
One solution would be to move to Proko2 branch,
or submit a detailed bug report to us _and_ KDE.
