Kolab install on Fedora2

I am running on a brand new install of fedora core 2. It seems that the openpkg is a real work of art that someone should be real proud of, I have read every thread that google will pull up and everyone says run /obmtool kolab then run this bootstrap command and presto change it just works. Well after three days of cussing and throwing things I am no farther along than I started and would be greatful if someone out there could give me any type of help.
I have tried downloading all files from ftp://ftp.zfos.org/brew/kolab/BIN/kolab-20040503-2.1.0/ix86-fedora2/ into /kolab/ directory and running /obmtool kolab didn't work, I tried all the files in a /kolabtmp/ directory and running /obmtool kolab didn't work. The closest I came was downloading just the obmtool and obmtool.conf to /root/ and then running /obmtool kolab this at least acted like it downloaded some files and created a /kolab directory but then errored out at the bootstrapping part, any ideas?
