authentication problem

Hi 
I install kolab server ver 1.0.14 ..(kolab-1.0.14-20031126)
Download from zfos site ... for redhat 9
The installion seem to complete successfully ...
I crate a test user ...
When I try to connect to the mail server (telnet localhost 110 or 143)
(I enable the pop3 ) I get error ..
looking at the log files ..
openldap.log -> daemon: socket () failed errno=97 (address family not
supported by protocol)
 
saslauthd.log -> entry not found or more then one entries found ... auth
failure
 
 
any suggestion  !!
