I installed Kolab 1. But I haven't been able to compile Kontact.
After $ tar jxvf kde-i18n-kroupware-1.0.2.tar.bz2 I can't find where are 
the packages and don't know where to mrun ./configure, make and 
makeinstall :-/ (The difficult Linux newbie condition).

I finally installed Aethera with a former version and it works ! Folders 
INBOX/Calendar, etc are created but if I open them with Thunderbird 
nothing is in. Where are the vCard and vCalendar hidden ? Aren't they in 
those folders ?
