Kolab on mandrake 10.0

I am new to Mandrake but have got the server setup (after doing the
boodstrap -b) and added a user, the admin page shows that pop3/imap is
running !
But when I try and do a send/receive I cannot as it cannot contact the POP
server !

and in /var/log/messages I have the error "No worthy mechs found"

Any clues as to where to look next ?

(I installed it by uprmi kolab-server )
