What to Backup?

Hi Stephen,

I'm not that familiar to the Kolab version by Mandrake, but things to be
backed up in native Kolab are:

database stuff:
-LDAP: easiest way, stop LDAP, back up /kolab/var/openldap/openldap-data
or: stop LDAP, export DB into LDIF-file (with slapcat), back up LDIF,
start LDAP, not recommended if Kolab has to be high available, several 
other ways possible, ldbm-backend is not aware of "hot-backup".
-IMAP: stop cyrus, back up /kolab/var/imapd, start cyrus. If hot-backup
is needed, do the backup running cyrus, but be aware of inconsistencies
(possible solution is cyrreconstruct, never tried that).

other stuff:
-config-files: back up /kolab/etc, should be /etc/... running mdk.

BTW: Backup is worthless without restore procedures.
