Kolab and ActiveDirectory

We are having problems with the change notification in our test environment. 
We tried a Windows 2000 Active Directory as well as a Windows 2003 Active 
Directory. Both AD servers are rejecting the change notification control with 
message code 12 (LDAP_UNAVAILABLE_CRITICAL_EXT), which means "A control or 
matching rule specified in the request is not supported by the server".

Consequently, the change notification doesn't work and changes are only being 
made on the Kolab server when kolabd starts up. Any ideas what's wrong there?
