I didn't give this enough thought. This should read:

> updated, *no* distribution lists need to be searched for a matching 
> IMAP
> URI (search parameter).

That said, however, to resolve a distribution list to each individual 
member (recipient address), the IMAP URIs need to be followed and 
retrieved. This of course is supposed to be where caching kicks in.
