I just want to point to a typo in the example:
   <address *lanel*="(string, default empty)">
should read "label", I guess.

For reasons of backwards compatibility I'd suggest to keep the structure 
of <email> fields (having <display-name> and <smtp-address> as child 
nodes) and rather add the new attributes to the parent <email> node.
