Actually is the other way around.

The Cyrus store is incompatible with multi-client scenarios and not tied into 
the rest of the store - unlike what iRony does in a canonical RFC compliant 
storage format.

We raised this issue with the other Cyrus developers 1-2 years ago, but they 
preferred to go with the "simple" solution. Which is fine, but since it is much 
more limited than what Kolab does, it makes little sense for us to go down 
that route.
