Even with the smime-data parameter preserved, when clicking on the "Decrypt 
Message" link of a S/MIME opaque (tested: S+E'ed, probably others) message, the 
display does _not_ show the usual "please wait while decrypting..." message, 
but an smime signature icon and "cannot decrypt".

This seems to be a regression from the async reader work.
