New submission from Yemi Salau <salauolayemi at yahoo.co.uk>:
Hello Everyone, it's my first posting, and this has come because I've searched
everywhere on the internet for the solution to my problem but couldn't get one.
Basically, I just installed the 2.2.1-beta version of Kolab on CentOS-5.2, so
far, everything I want off the box works, normal webclient(Horde) and stuff. I
followed the README.txt file with due diligence. However, I can't get a mail
client from outside the mynetworks to send email using the server.
For example, say I have an account: test at test.com in our company in the US, and
I move my Laptop to Germany or even work from home. The webclient works ok, but
things like Outlook and Thunderbird don't. Yes, I've configured the mail client
to authenticate to the server, also, I've ticked the SSL option and stuff.
Whenever I send an email via Outlook, all I get is error message. And when I do
this from Thunderbird I get "Command died with status 255: "/kolab/bin/php""
error message.
I'm not so vast with programing, but could it be some problem with pear module?
Thanks for your help.
