I understand, but a long time ago it was proposed to (try to) get this one 
into 2.2.1....  Hence this email as a reminder.

It is not so much a problem with LDAP, but more the code itself.  Were to put 
the line to add the middle name.  Perhaps this is what you mean with LDAP 
changes.
