New submission from Thomas Ribbrock <itsef-admin at brightsight.com>:

As we are using client certificates in conjunction with Kolab 2.2.0, we ran into
Apache bug 39243 (see: https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=39243
). In our case, the problem occurred with Squirrelmail - I have not yet seen it
with Horde.

Apparently, a fix/new configuration option has been provided for Apache 2.3
which is not included in Kolab 2.2.[01]. Hence the wish to upgrade to that
version or alternatively consider backporting the patch to Apache 2.2.

Note: The discussion of above bug also lists a potential workaround (placing the
client verification in a different context in the apache config), which we have
applied and which *seems* to work so far. So, this wish is probably not
top-priority.
