New submission from Thomas Arendsen Hein <thomas at intevation.de>:
Kolab Server 2.2.1 and before:
As a solution (workaround?) for
kolab/issue1171 (Auto resource handling conflict in the future)
the Kolab filter code was changed to tentatively accept the invitation.
For people knowing what that means this might be ok, but for most users
this is just confusing:
1. Two people can book the same resource at the same time, if they do it
early enough.
2. The reason for the tentative acceptance isn't stated in the reply.
For REJECT_IF_CONFLICTS I'd rather send a reject with a comment why it was
rejected (try later), for MANUAL_IF_CONFLICTS manual might be the better
choice, too.
Alternatively the code could trigger free/busy generation for the
corresponding date interval as the calendar user should already have write
permission for the corresponding Calendar folder.
The risk of introducing a DoS by triggering large f/b calculations should
be considered for this, though.
Bernhard, what do you think?
