This is a known problem, not only for older Pentium CPUs, but for
AMD K7, too.
We always compiled the binary packages for Kolab Server 2.1 on an
old K7 for exactly that reason. We stopped doing this because that
machine is very slow and for most people the P4 packages are ok.
Additionally at least slapd has a problem when compiled with a Linux
2.6 kernel on a box running a Linux 2.4 kernel.
