[Kolab-devel] [issue2394] IMAP sync keeps calendar items which are deleted on the server

New submission from Andreas Gungl <a.gungl at gmx.de>:

Preparation: Create a resource account on the server. Share its calendar
read-only to everybody. Add some events to the calendar of that resource
account.
Sync all resource folders in Kontact (i.e. sync the complete account). The
events should show up fine in the calendar if the resource is enabled.

Trigger the problem: Use another tool to remove messages from that calendar
folder. (I use e.g. Thunderbird, but let's assume someone else deleted them
regularly.) Now go back top Kontact and synchronize again.

What happens: The calendar does still show all events (including the deleted
ones). If you have a look at the messages in the folder in Kontact, all are
still there, although they don't exist anymore on the IMAP server. A normal
sync doesn't change that situation.
If you refresh the folder in Kontact, all messages are removed and only those
existing on the server are read back into Kontact. Then the calendar shows the
remaining events.

This can be reproduced with OpenSUSE
kdepim3-3.5.7.enterprise.0.20070904.708012-38.2 and with latest sources from
the enterprise branch.
