New submission from Gunnar Wrobel <p at rdus.de>:
Tested using cyradm with an account that has not been used with Kontact before:
demo2.pardus.de> cm INBOX/Kontakte
demo2.pardus.de> mboxcfg
INBOX/Kontakte /vendor/kolab/folder-type contact.default
demo2.pardus.de> info
INBOX/Kontakte
{INBOX/Kontakte}:
condstore: false
lastpop:
lastupdate: 24-Oct-2007 13:40:01 +0200
partition: default
size: 0
folder-type: contact.default
At this point we have a valid default groupware folder for contacts. Now
configure Kontact for this user for the first time and start Kontact. It will
create the default folders it requires:
demo2.pardus.de> lm
INBOX (\HasChildren) INBOX/Kontakte (\HasNoChildren)
INBOX/Calendar (\HasNoChildren) INBOX/Notes (\HasNoChildren)
INBOX/Contacts (\HasNoChildren) INBOX/Tasks (\HasNoChildren)
INBOX/Journal (\HasNoChildren)
demo2.pardus.de> info
INBOX/Contacts
{INBOX/Contacts}:
condstore: false
lastpop:
lastupdate: 24-Oct-2007 13:41:07 +0200
partition: default
size: 0
folder-type: contact.default
demo2.pardus.de> info INBOX/Kontakte
{INBOX/Kontakte}:
condstore: false
lastpop:
lastupdate: 24-Oct-2007 13:40:01 +0200
partition: default
size: 0
folder-type: contact.default
Now there are two folders marked with ".default"
This type of behavior disrupts other clients (e.g. Horde) and is in violation of
the Kolab format specification:
http://kolab.org/doc/kolabformat-2.0rc5-html/c154.html#AEN157
"There MUST NOT be two folders of a single type having the default subtype. E.g.
it is forbidden to have two folders of the type calendar with the subtype
default within one Kolab account."
