The Kolab format specification is unclear about this, but
| For folders created with non Kolab IMAP clients, annotations must
| be preserved. All Kolab clients MUST assume that folders without an
| explicit type set are email folders.
implies for me:
- folders with other annotatinos than /vendor/kolab/folder-type, but
  no folder-type MUST be assumed as email folders, so of course
  display them.
- folders with a folder-type different from "mail" are not mail, so
  SHOULD not be displayed as mail (i.e. hidden).
Maybe this should be added to the specs.
