I tried to use the new blue sync button to sync mails, but it doesn't
work. 
Console output:

kmail: ERROR: No folder ( Mail,  )
kmail: subresourcesKolab: No folder found for Mail

Test:
Write a mail to yourself. Sync with blue new sync button.
Notice: 
The new mail isn't synced.
