Sorry :) I'll try again:
Right now kolab-horde-framework holds the full code from Horde as it
was about two years ago
(http://cvs.horde.org/framework/). kolab-horde-fbview holds the Horde
base package (http://cvs.horde.org/horde/) as well as a reduced
kronolith version (http://cvs.horde.org/kronolith/). Both packages
also originate from a timepoint about two years ago.
This creates two problems:
1) The code is too old and did not see any security updates in a while
which might be problematic for a web app. It should be updated.
2) Kolab tries to use upstream packages wherever possible and only
adds the necessary patches. If somehow possible the patches should
be integrated upstream (see amavis, cyrus, postfix etc.) This could
also be done for the horde package.
I did extract the Kolab specific parts from the current
kolab-horde-framework and kolab-horde-fbview packages and most got
integrated into horde. This means it will now be possible to update
the code to the newest Horde release packages and only use a few
reduced Kolab patches.
Hope that clarified my ealier post.
Cheers,
Gunnar
