The current rights in ldap does not permit a user to retrieve his own password 
entry. Some tools fetch the previous tool to correctly choose hash function. I 
suggest that it a user is allowed to retrieve his own password entry, in order 
to make such tools work. 
It is already allowed for a user to replace his/her own password.
Before I send the patch, I would like to know if you would accept such a 
change.
