[Kolab-devel] [issue1585] de_DE.UTF8 locale on Debian Etch does not give German web admin

Kolab Server 2.1beta4     
on fresh Debian etch from sources.     
     
Had no German localisation in the webinterface,    
though the following locale was set:    
    
cat /etc/locale.gen     
de_DE.UTF-8 UTF-8

LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_COLLATE="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_MONETARY="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_MESSAGES="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_NAME="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_ADDRESS="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_TELEPHONE="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_MEASUREMENT="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_DE.UTF-8"   
LC_ALL=   
   
   
Workaround, additionally configure latin-1 locale:   
   
    
 dpkg-reconfigure locales  
Generating locales (this might take a while)...  
  de_DE.UTF-8... done  
  de_DE.ISO-8859-1... done  
  de_DE.ISO-8859-15 at euro... done  
Generation complete.  
  
After this completly stop and start the kolab server.
