New submission from Fabio Pietrosanti / Khamsa SA <kolab at khamsa.ch>:

The cyrus of Kolab is not using the mailbox hashing and this cause serious problem when using linux
with standard ext3 filesystem and more than 32000 users.
Mailbox creation stop working with "Too many links" because of filesystem limits.

The solution would be to setup "hashimapspool: true" in imapd.conf to allow mail spool hashing and
void this limit (the only other solution is to use another filesystem like reiserfs or XFS).

How this modification can cause problem with kolabd/kolabconf programs?

This is a quite urgent issue if someone would be so kind to have a try.
