New submission from Bernhard Herzog <bh at intevation.de>:
To reproduce, create a new recurring event in kontact (I tested a monthly
recurrence). Then sync. Now change something on the palm (e.g. location) for
the first occurrence and when the palm asks whether to change it for all
recurrences, choose to only apply it to the current instance. Sync again.
Kpilot asks because of a conflict; choose to use the version from the palm
pilot. Now the first occurrence of the event in kontact is gone!
If you do it for later reccurrences, kpilot does the right thing. The modified
recurrence is marked as an exception in the original recurring event and a new
non-recurring event is created with the modified parameters in its place.
This may depend on which fields you modify. In particular, the location field
seems to have some more problems according to issue1134
