[Kolab-devel] Improving www.kolab.org web site

Hi,

a core team of Intevation (Sascha and me) has now
allocated some time for the improvement of www.kolab.org.
Of course we welcome any additional help - it will
make the imrpovements come faster and allow for a
comprehensive helpful website.

Bernhards proposal is a good start.

For the basic procedure I propose:

- create a CVS module of its own for the
  web site (module name: www-kolab-org)
- define a standard branch name ("BETA")
  which is used by a cron job do update
  automatically for the web site "beta.kolab.org".
- To keep divergence as low as possible:
  - only singles files should be branched
  - request for comment once a proposed
    change goes to beta.kolab.org on this ML
  - try to merge back quickly to HEAD if agreed
    or no comments are made
  - no-brainers go to HEAD directly
- the new design will not arrive in one step.
  I prefer to have it done in many small steps.
  That means there will be no big beta at all.
