As stated in the comments of the very nice article about kolab on 
http://dot.kde.org/1106909457/, would it possible to use LAM - LDAP Account 
Manager from http://lam.sourceforge.net/ ??

It's nice looking, it seems to have some nifty features (which assume work ;).  
It seem to overlap a little bit with kolab.  If it would be possible, 2 LAM 
feature request could be closed right away and I think kolab would have some 
additional attention:
