[Kolab-devel] Kolab 2.0 Beta 2 released

Hi all,

I've just uploaded the second beta of the Kolab 2 server to
ftp.kolab.org.  The packages should show up on the mirrors soon.
They'll be right next to the first beta, in the directory
server/beta/kolab-server-2.0-beta-2 .

This second beta contains one incompatible change regarding global
shared folders that requires some manual changes when upgrading.  See
the README.1st file that comes with the beta.

The changes in more detail (taken from release-notes.txt)


Changes since Beta 1, 20041223:

    - kolabd 20041123 -> 20050114

	Global shared folders (those managed by the web admin interface)
	use a different prefix for the imap folder names.  See
	README.1st for upgrade instructions

        * Fixing:
            Issue609 (Outgoing mail redirected to distribution list)
	    Issue599 (IMAPD causes too many LDAP connections (scalability/DOS))
	    Issue610 (html mails get corrupted)
	    Issue587 (Linux'ism in upgrade procedure to BETA1)

    - kolab-resource-handlers 20041123 -> 20050114

        * Fixing:
	    Issue593 (behavior with missing incidences-for annotation)
	    Issue595 (resmgr doesn't set incidences-for)
	    Issue496 (No DTSTART/DTEND in freebusy information for new user)

    - kolab-webadmin 20041223 -> 20050114

        * Fixing:
	    Issue617 (Cannot remove alias from external contact)
	    Issue603 (Webadmin doesn't handle > 50 external contacts)
	    Issue597 (web-interface for vacation broken)
	    Issue591 (version numbers in About Kolab page)

    - obmtool.conf 20041123 -> 20050114

      The order of packages should be correct now so that building from
      sources from scratch works correctly.
