Subject: [Kolab-devel] Differencies between "Distribution list" and
"Alias"concept
Hi all,
i'm attempting to setup some email alias in a kolab installation.
The problem i found is that the only way to setup an email alias for a
local domain which forward the message to email of external domain is:
Go to Addressbook
Create a new vCard
Go to Distribution List
Create Distribution List
Otherwise is not possible to setup "distribution list" in which the
members are external to the "ldap defined" objects.
Imho in a standard email usage this would be quite complex and time
expensive.
Why just not allow every email to be put in a Distribution List and
threat them as standard email alias?
There is some strict reason to keep the concept of distribution list
just limited to local email addresses?
Fabio
