The correct output looks like
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 1, 3 2004-10-02 10:38 /dev/null
So something is severly wrong with your operating system. Which OS are you
using? Are you trying to run in Jail or a change rooted environment?
In short: Your problem is not related to either OpenPKG or Kolab.
