This shouldn't be happening. IMP should use your Horde login credentials to 
authenticate with Cyrus. Did you do Step 5 [1] of the install guide? 
Specifically, edit imp/config/servers.php and remove everything except the 
$servers['kolab'] entry. Make sure that the line "'hordeauth' => 'full'," is 
also part of the 'kolab' server entry.

This may be related to an out-of-sync framework installation. Try and 
re-checkout the framework module and do another 'php install-packages.php'.

Well, as you can see these relate to a missconfigured preference system. You'd 
probably do best if you resolved this [2] before continuing with your IMP 
troubles.
