The canceling of a booking is not the common case but rather rare.

In addition the canceling of an event via the resource manager is asynchronous 
and non interactive. So speed (latency) does not really matter much. For 
extremly large installations though throughput is becoming interesting.

Well, I see you point. But nothing prevents you from also storing the IUID 
together with the EUID. 

In 99.9% of the cases this allows you to directly fetch the correct message by 
using the IUID. 

Like with the Webcalendar such a direkt fetch is always faster than a search 
operation with a subsequent fetch operation.

How does the freebusy viewer get the fb lists? Does it generate them or merely 
only load them?
