The problem with receiving is that I see nowhere in the iCalendar RFC a
description on how to send such information. And KMail is strictly
following the RFC - we're not implementing anything at all that can't be
described in the official standard. So the problem in receiving is to be
able to read the iCalendar file and see that this is JFYI, not an update,
invitation, deletion or ...
Well, just looking at the iTIP RFC (2446), it does look like the PUBLISH
method could be what is needed here. If so, this indeed wouldn't be a
problem.
Guenter, you offered to be my RFC reader :-) What we're discussing is the
possibility to send an appointment to someone - just for the receivers
information. Is PUBLISH meant to do this?
