Kontact is the development route the KDE people are taking
regarding a better integration of KMail KOrganizer and other components.
Certainly the KDE-pim an kmail lists should be involved if you
try to get a broad picture.

Just helping the kdepim people to get the work done
seems the best approach. There are more involved
plans within that group which I'm not current with.

I believe that the Kroupware branch client needs to be supported for quite
a while. At least until Kontact is as stable as the Kroupware branch
and then until it get into the distributions.
As people don't expect Kontact in KDE 3.2 to act as a full Kolab client,
the timeframe might be for KDE 3.3 or so.

Yes, certainly.

That would be well appreciated.
Note that there is quite some work needed for Kontact
to get to the same quality as the kroupware branch.
(Just a warning, because I don't want people to expect
this to be easy and get frustrated when they experience the problems. :) )
