Maybe a tag X-CalRepeat with a "Day of Week" string?
You probably wont have thousands of re-occurring events so
it might even be feasable to load all X-CalRepeat events by
default.
There are hordes of ways to encode strings with special meaning
as well as the possibility to use several Extension tags. Sure we
could come up with a scheme to solve the problem.
