suspected, it was a sieve extension issue. I ran the command </font><tt><font size=2>"systemctl
-l status cyrus-imapd"</font></tt><font size=2 face="sans-serif">
and discovered a problem with the "date" sieve extension. I
removed the "date" element from the line you referenced in imap.conf.
I also had to remove "index" in the next round of
testing. Cyrus now loads and is active.</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Unfortunately, I now have a new problem.
I don't know if I should start a new thread, but I'll just mention
the issue here. I can't log into roundcube now. I tried changing
passwords and creating new users, but they all fail. </font>

It seems you have systemd. Maybe the command "systemctl -l status
cyrus-imapd"<br>
would provide more info.<br>

What version of cyrus-imap are you using? <br>

you may want to look at this line in /etc/imap.conf<br>
sieve_extensions: fileinto reject envelope body vacation imapflags notify
include regex subaddress <br>
relational copy<br>
<br>
start deleting what you have in addition to what I have here, and try to
restart it after each <br>
delete.<br>
