<div>we have a major issue regarding managing our Addressbooks of one of our customers and hope you may give us some helping hints how to solve it. </div>
<div>Our customer removed one of his contacts of a group in his Addressbooks but after refreshing his page the whole group disappeared instead of just the contact within the group! After this he tried to recreate the group called Newsletter but after refreshing the page again he realized that it still doesn't exist. It seems that new objects couldn't be created.</div>

<div>One of my colleges decided to copy this corrupted Adressbook Folder to get this issue done and to experiment with the files without the risk of loosing some data of our customer. He just deleted the last view files sorted by the date withing /var/spool/imap/domain/s/<a href="http://xxx.de/a/shared/AddressBook/" rel="external" tabindex="-1" target="_blank">xxx.de/a/shared/AddressBook/</a> and reconstructed the index (/usr/lib/cyrus-imapd/reconstruct <a href="mailto:shared/AddressBook@xxx.de" rel="external" tabindex="-1" target="_blank">shared/AddressBook@xxx.de</a>). After this the missing group was still missing but at least he was able to create new groups again. </div>
<div>Is there a way creating a new index and validating the files beeing used by it? </div>

<div>In additional we realized that some of the groups have redundant users and guessing that it may be caused by creating a new index. My college came up with the theory that with every new contact added by a group a new file within the Addressbok Folder is created added the user and maybe something has got wrong. </div>

<div>At least we have got the possibility creating new groups again but the group is still missing and we don't want that groups disappear randomly when removing just a user! It appears as a major issue so help would be appreciated.</div>
